COSBY, Tenn. — The Cosby Volunteer Fire Department’s Second Annual Summer Festival is currently underway and community members still have plenty of time to come out and enjoy the festivities.
The event, being held at the Cosby Volunteer Fire Department located at 200 Major Jim Burnett Drive in Newport, continues until 6:00 p.m. today and offers something for the entire family.
Visitors can enjoy food, games, children’s rides, local vendors, and live music throughout the afternoon. The festival has already drawn a steady crowd and organizers are hoping even more residents will stop by before the day concludes.
Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the afternoon, including:
- Jeremy Wise — 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Sammy Shults — 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Junior Price & Duran Williams — 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
A special Kids Fun Fair is also taking place during the event, featuring rides, games, and activities designed for younger attendees.
The Summer Festival is more than just a day of entertainment. The event helps bring the community together while supporting the dedicated volunteers of the Cosby Volunteer Fire Department, who serve residents throughout the area year-round.
